Type:
Notably, despite their close proximity (approximately 150 m apart), there are significant differences in the characteristics and ore-forming processes of the sulfides at the two fields. Taiji-1 primarily comprises massive sulfides, believed to have precipitated in a relatively open space through direct fluid precipitation on the seafloor. In contrast, Taiji-2 primarily consists of stockwork and semi-massive sulfides formed through rock replacement in a sub-seafloor environment. This distinctive style of sulfide mineralization in Taiji-2 is considerably less typical for a typical seafloor hydrothermal field.
