Thanks Hal.
Caring for your Introverted Loved One
As he said, no article can fully speak for any group of people. But this is pretty damn good.

Okay, here we go
ftmichael @ 10:31
From HumanMetrics, the Jung - Myers-Briggs Test:
Your Type is INFJ (introvert, intuitive, feeler, judger)
Strength of the preferences: I:78, N:44, F:44, J:33
Took it a second time and got ISFJ (introvert, senser, feeler, judger)... I:33, S:11, F:44, J:33.
I guess we know for sure about that FJ, anyway...
Took it a third time and got INFJ: I:33, N:11, F:44, J:33
Okay, so I'm an INFJ, the FJ are very solid, the I is solid but not as strong as was first indicated...maybe I'm borderline S/N, since I changed like two answers each time (stuff I was iffy on) and got very different results.

confusedYour Keirsey Temperament (http://www.advisorteam.com/user/ktsintro.asp) is: Idealist (NF)

The Idealist Portrait
All Idealists (NFs) share the following core characteristics:
--Idealists are enthusiastic, they trust their intuition, yearn for romance, seek their true self, prize meaningful relationships, and dream of attaining wisdom.
--Idealists pride themselves on being loving, kindhearted, and authentic.
--Idealists tend to be giving, trusting, spiritual, and they are focused on personal journeys and human potentials.
--Idealists make intense mates, nurturing parents, and inspirational leaders.
Idealists, as a temperament, are passionately concerned with personal growth and development. Idealists strive to discover who they are and how they can become their best possible self - always this quest for self-knowledge and self-improvement drives their imagination. And they want to help others make the journey. Idealists are naturally drawn to working with people, and whether in education or counseling, in social services or personnel work, in journalism or the ministry, they are gifted at helping others find their way in life, often inspiring them to grow as individuals and to fulfill their potentials.
Idealists are rare, making up no more than 8 to 10 percent of the population. But their ability to inspire people with their enthusiasm and their idealism has given them influence far beyond their numbers.
The four types of Idealists are: Healers (INFP), Counselors (INFJ), Champions (ENFP), and Teachers (ENFJ).
(They wanted me to pay for my 10-page personalized analysis. Thanks anyway. Now that I know it's called the Keirsey test, I can ask my therapist. And I know I'm generally introverted...I just don't know if I'm more of a Perceiver or a Judger.)
John, what was the name of the test you took? The Keirsey only gave this one diagnosis, not the four that you got...you had to pay for the rest. Just curious if it really is the same one...
