Anyway, how are you all? Hope everyone is doing okay.

As for me, well...in my last entry (back in November, jesus) I mentioned how I was going to at least give the place I started working at at least six months of time. It's March now and I'm still working there and really beginning to feel like I need to get out. It's not like it's a bad job; I like my co-workers well enough and the money is decent (when we have customers) but like, this isn't what I went to school to do. It's just frustrating that my career is treated like some sort of joke or that I'm undeserving of what we charge for a massage.

(Okay, I'm also tired of waking up at 3:30 AM and getting home around 4:30-5 PM and only have 3 hours to myself before having to go to bed and do the whole thing again)

Thankfully, that pediatric massage conference I also mentioned in my last entry. Instead of waiting around for it to maybe come back into my area again, I said "fuck it" and registered for it down in Orlando. It starts next week and I'm so excited. Not just because I finally get to do this (though that's mainly it) but also because we're going to have a little extra time down there so Mom and I can have a vacation. Because our last attempt at a vacation down in Florida was horrible.

(I never talked about it here back in December, but let's just say it involved being dragged back and forth so we couldn't even enjoy anything, my brother, nephew, and niece getting violently ill over themselves at the Disney parks, and oh, yeah, my grandma freaking breaking her hip. Needless to say, I crashed into bed the moment I got home and really didn't move from it for two whole days)

On the fandom front, I finally wrote Spideypool? It's pre-slash but uh, has about as much innuendo as the comics do canonly (or at least I tried). It seemed to go over really well, so I'm just over here going /)*o*(\ over it all. I really want to write smut (big shocker there, right?) but again, limited amount of time. I mean, today is my day off, but I have been putting off stuff that needs to get done, so probably no time for sexy fic today. Mebbe.

First off, how are you all doing? I've been trying to read my friends list every day, even if I don't always comment.

As for me, I'm okay. Work is...interesting to say the least. I mean, when there's actually clients, it's great! But lately there's been more and more days where I'm literally standing around for clients to show up, and since it's all commission based, days like that suck twice-fold.

Plus, while my co-workers are nice enough, sometimes I feel like they get away with stuff that I would never try. Like they're constantly late for their shift, and always sit on the chairs while on the floor, even though that's supposed to be a big no-no. I don't know, maybe I should just keep quiet and keep sipping my tea.

I do know that I do not want to do this for much longer. I said I would try to stay at least six months before moving on. I would really like to be an independent contractor with my own business, but I'm not sure how to start. I would love to do a mobile reflexology business, but I'm not sure how popular that would be? Maybe for areas with high foot traffic (ha!), but I don't know how many people would want their feet massaged in public. I really want to break into pediatric massage, but the special foundation for it hasn't announced when their next workshop in my area would be held.

In other news, I really miss fandom and talking to people about it, but I don't know how to really go about it for the Deadpool fandom. While I'm not really in the Merlin fandom much these days (sorry!), I do miss the chats we all had together.

I kind of want to run another fandom fest, but for all fandoms. I do have that idea for a winter themed porn fest kicking around in my head, but someone on tumblr mentioned fics based off cheesy Hallmark holiday movies, which is tempting too. But I don't know how many people are already participating in fests around this time of year?

Both alilypea and loaded_march expressed interest in some Spideypool recs, so I figured I'd make a list of a couple that I've read recently that really stuck out to me.
