I am seriously considering dropping my computer graphics class.
Today he didn't have our tests graded from Thursday. About halfway through the class, he said he was going to try something, partly as an experiment and partly because of our test. I think the collective thought of the class at that point was, 'fuck, that means we all bombed the test.' So he tells us he's going to leave for about ten minutes, and to use that time to study isotropic mapping. When gets back, we'll have a pop quiz. Yeah, so, he left, we're all just like....o___O???? and then he gives us our quiz, which is exactly the same question that was on the test. My answer ended up being nearly exactly the same as the first time around. So I guess this means that I got to fail it...again! I was so pissed off, I was tempted to write a snarky little note on the bottom, "If I didn't get it the first time, then obviously I'm not going to get it the second time!" but I didn't. I mean really, what a shitty thing to do. That class has wasted so much of my time (12+ hours a week at least so far) and if it's all going to be for like, a C or some barely passing grade, then fuck it. Not worth my time. Can't get my money back on it, but at least, damn, maybe I can play a video game this semester for once or draw a picture or something. I nearly started crying in class, I've been so stressed out and sleep deprived, and then this...I can't handle this on a regular basis.

The last day to drop a class with a 'W' is Oct 24th, the day before midterm. So I have almost two weeks to think about it. We'll see how things go, but after what happened today I've pretty much made up my mind. This means I'll have to take a 400 level CSCI class next semester, or, possibly even in fall despite the fact I want to friggen graduate by may. The only thing preventing me from dropping it right now are are my friends in class. I feel like I'd be abandoning them...Dustin, Leah and Eric and I are all in the three CSCI classes together and we've been helping each other out a lot lately. I don't know...I'm just really frustrated and upset with things.

But in good news, I went to Dan's WCC meet today. I think in one of my last posts, I meant to say the Sartell meet and put WCC instead. Oops. Dan placed 5th for the team and 6th overall but had a personal best. I really think the cathedral guys can win state this year. They placed all 7 varisty guys within the top 9 finishers today. Beth of course won the girl's race. I think she's ranked second in the state for single A. And I got to talk to Liz for a bit so that was awesome. Also I would like to say that one of Dan's teammates is really damn hot. Too bad he's probably, like, 17 or something despite looking 20 or 21. The end.

ATTN alvonia:
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy biiiiirthday dear Rachelle!
Happy birthday to you!

I tried calling you to see what was going on tonight, but I got your answering machine; hopefully you got my message (the voicemail thing kept beeping at me). So hopefully sometime next week we can go out and I'll buy you a drink or something, because I couldn't find any of the manga you wanted :(

I went to taco bell and harassed Becky and Eric which was fun. Also I tried the Aqua colored Mt Dew they have...it's like...Baha Blast or something. Becky said it takes like soap and is horrible, but I don't think it's too bad. Regular Mt Dew still rules over all, though. (So now I've had regular, code red, livewire, baha blast, the grape stuff and the grape stuff II. I think that's all the flavors).

And now I am stuck with a delimma. I was at Barnes and Noble, searching for Rachelle's birthday present (which they did not have either manga, the bastards). But I did find Angel Sanctuary vol 10, which I did not even know was out, so I was like MUST BUY NOWWWWWW. However, it is probably more important that I do some work for the text and image class.

Also, I might try to go to karate tomorrow night. I'm not sure yet. I really really want to keep up with it, but I'd only get to go a couple times a month and I don't think it would be worth the price to pay. So maybe I'll at least go in and see what they'd charge me.

My computer graphics test today was...well, it could have been better but it also could have been worse I suppose. No way I aced it, but I'm confident that I at least got a passing grade. We'll see. maybe he'll curve it. >_>;;
Next week I have two tests on Thursday. One for AI and one for Japanese. The Japanese one I'm not worried about at all. AI...well, I was nervous for the computer graphics test today, but it'll be worse next week. Especially cause I know the prof thinks well of me, so if I do bad on the test, not only do I do bad on the test but I let the prof down, too. arg. Maybe if LISP didn't have so many DAMN PARENTHASIS.

Okay. I swear, I will post this entry and work on my text and image stuff. Honestly.

EDIT: I lied. At b&n, I saw Shaun, and we talked for a bit, but I feel stupid because it took me halfway through our conversation to remember her name -_-;; I'm so bad at placing names with faces unless I see them on a regular basis.

Oh, and Dan had his WCC cross country meet today. Mom said both the jr high and jv boys got perfect scores. Damn I miss the days of cross country. It is a really awesome thing to see a team finish 1st through 5th place. And Dan took second for the team, and THIRD overall!! He is totally my hero of the day, even if he doesn't know it. I should call him and congratulate him. Maybe I'll do that now. Then I'll really work on my homework. I hope.

@_@ okay I should be in bed. but I am not.

( my subconcious can't get enough of these nightmaresCollapse )

Yesterday afternoon was Kristen's first birthday party. Since Mom was out of town I got to be the designated picture taker, so I may or may not plug later depending on how ambitious I am. Also, as a birthday present, Shawn has been building me a painting easel. He's pretty far along, and woah man it is big. I will have to rearrange a corner of my room to accomodate it.

Today at work I saw a commercial for the stupidest thing ever in a car. Air conditioned glove compartment. That just might be worse than the fridge with internet access so you can download recipies and crap.

What ever happened to the brand new car that serves the purpose of getting you from point A to point B? Really, besides a red corvette, my dream car would get me around comfortably and fuel effiently. With A/C and maybe a little heat for the winter time. And a CD player. CD player is a must. And it would be manual. Those are more fun. You can take your power windows and heated seats/butt warmers and mini TVs and reclining seats and air conditioned glove compartments and throw them off a cliff, thanks.

I really ought to get to bed now.

Yesterday I went to Dan's cross country meet. HOLY CRAP. Seriously, what can I say. Watching the runners finish made me want to go back in time and relive cross country over again. Yes, I sucked, and if it weren't for my teammates, coach, and the huge sense of team unity I probably wouldn't have stuck with it. But damn, I had forgotten how damn good it feels to finish a race, regardless of how good (or in my case, sub-par) the time was. I miss cheering for my teammates and comming home with a sore throat from screaming. And goofing off on the bus ride home.

Enough nostalgia.

Dan kicked some serious ass. He's been working his butt off all summer and it showed. He finished second for the team, and 24th overall for guy's varsity. (And Cathedral was the only single A school there). Beth Tacl is my running hero forever, because she finished first for girl's varsity. By over a minute and ten seconds. Holy friggen crap. Libby finished 2nd by a split second. The girls team doesn't really have a strong 3rd, 4th, and 5th runners, which is too bad. Dan says the guys team is ranked 1st in the state for single A. Okay I'm done boasting now.

LEAVING FOR AI-KON TOMORROW YAY!! Rachelle will be here in about half an hour, and Rachel about 2 hours later. :D :D
Today I cleaned my room, vacuumed it, did some dishes, did laundry, and cleaned the bathroom sink. weee!
At karate today Dan and I weren't the only beginners/white belts, and the instructor we had today was awesome. And we learned a new punch today, but I can't remember what it's called, but it's pretty sweet, oh yea.

And a crazy dream.
( Madness at KeihleCollapse )
My brother won a fee month of karate from one of the karate schools in town, so he and I decided to go to a class today. It was pretty small, only four other people plus the two instructors, but I liked it. A nice workout without feeling exhausted afterwards, and I've wanted to take self-defense for ages now. They hold morning/afternoon classes Tuesdays and Thursdays, so Dan and I are going to try to make this a regular thing.

After that, Dan came over and played Katamari, and he was highly amused but the over Japaneseweirdness of the game.

I went over to my parents and ended up having dinner, wow, that's the first meal there I've had since I moved (and I used to have dinner there once, sometimes twice a week for a while).

Jul. 27th, 2005

Today my brother randomly decided he wanted to have a harrypotterathon so he convinced me to watch them with him.

The movies inspired these conversations:

Dan: *Didn't know that the original title is "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone*
Me: *Going on about how they changed it*
Dan: Wait...what..?
Me: *repeats herself and even goes on the internet to prove it*
Dan: Why did they do that?
Me: I dunno, I think they thought American's wouldn't get the 'philosopher's stone' thing.
Dan: Whatever
...
Dan: So, I think the next book should be like 'Harry Potter and the Apartment of Something'
Me: Huh?
Dan: But in England it would be 'Harry Potter and the Flat of Something'.
Me: Or like, 'Harry Potter and the Elevator of Doom', except over there it would be 'Harry Potter and the Lift of Doom'.
Dan and me: Elevator of Doom, heehee.

...
Dan (on the topic of rivalry between the houses): Why can't everbody get along? I mean, why can't Harry be all like, "'Sup Malfoy? Wanna go Quidditching?" And he'd be all like, "yeah" and Pansy Parkinson would be like, "Oh Hermione, your hair is so cute!" and Hermionie would be like, "Yeah I know".
Me: *snerks*

And I was hoping to get the MAX and CMAX pictures colored and finished today, but that obviously didn't happen XD I'll do it tomorrow, I'm off to bed soon I think.

I may or may not have a final test on friday. I am really hoping not, because first of all I don't want to study for another test this week, and second of all I am now apparently going to valleyfair on friday and going to class would leave me with two hours less of rollarcoaster action.

Because of Valleyfair, I will be missing out on the grand release of OMG harry potter and also I might have to stay off the internet for a while cause I know I won't be able to read the 6th book right away and knowing the rampant fans out on teh internets I'd be very likely to stumble upon spoilers. (And I'm like many books behind so we'll see how that goes).

Um.

My brother and I have weird AIM converstaions.
( beensCollapse )

So tomorrow there will either be a very happy or very pissed off post from me, depending on how the class did on the test (the prof said if nobody failed we wouldn't have a final). Huzzah.

Pictures!

Jun. 10th, 2005

The 5K race is tomorrow.

I'm gonna die.

No really, I am.

Maybe if there aren't enough volunteers I can get out of the race to help out. I don't think Dad will let me though.

okay, I don't care what time I get, or what place I get, I just don't want to walk. woo. That's a good goal.

Dad and I ran yesterday and it sucked so bad...I dunno what was wrong with me, but I seriously had no energy (plus I was *still* sore from that pilates workout Rachelle and I did on Monday, and my abs felt like they were compressing my stomach in, making me feel like puking. joy! >_< )
