I went ahead and dropped graphics. Maybe I can manage to catch up. There was a large 331 program due today, and it's hardly been started. Haven't done the lisp program yet due on the thursday. Didn't study verbs for the japanese quiz tomorrow. Still have done squat for the art class. If I was still in graphics, I would have had a program due last night and a test tomorrow. And I have really started to not care. The program that was due today? meh. I plan on gettting it done...eventually. I don't know. whatever.

And Nightwish. I....really don't even know what to say.


At least tomorrow is midterm. halfway through this horrible semester.

There's a Disturbed concert at First Ave at the beginning of November. I want to go. Anyone want to come with?

I am now making a point to figure out when my favorite bands are on tour. I completely did not know that System of a Down played in Minneapolis a couple weeks ago, and that depresses me greatly. Seriously if I were to never get to see them live I think I would hate myself forever.

Also, whining and bitching about work ahead.

Dear customers that must have failed math in high school: If you go out to eat and you thought the server did a very good job, the standard is to tip 15%. What part of this do you not understand? If your bill comes to 50 dollars, do not leave me 4, you cheap bastards. 15% or $50 is $7.50. If you don't want to pay for the service, then go to fucking mcdonalds.

I definitely do not enjoy running my ass off for 4 1/2 hours and making twenty five fucking dollars. I couldn't even pay for my groceries tonight with that. I hate working saturday nights for this reason. It's the same thing every time. I like working wednesdays and even mondays; at least then I usually make what I work for. blech


I was also planning about bitching about school, but I guess instead I should probably work on my 331 program. YES IT'S 12:00 ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AND I'M CODING C++ WHAT THE FUCK.

I think the only thing that could possibly make me feel better at this point was if I woke up tomorrow and it was suddenly December 22nd. What a shitty ass day

If it weren't for my classmates I seriously don't know how I'd make it through school.

I'm trying so hard to avoid studying for my test tomorrow.

So, adventures in Canada continued.

Saturday night proved to be much better. We went to this place called Fude to eat, and while expensive, it was very good. I had chili chocolate chicken skewers, I shit you not, and they were awesome. Then we went back to the hotel room and got drunk off of wine and grand mariner or whatever it's called, and we took a lot of pictures. We went to the bar in our hotel, had some more to drink, and went to the Ai-Kon dance. Because we were all trashed, it was the greatest thing ever. I about flipped out when they played Time Warp and Sandstorm. Also we hung out with Matt and his friend for a bit, and that was pretty sweet. Then we went back to the hotel, went to bed, got up, and began our day of hell.

I wanted to go to the Royal Fork buffet, because that's where the Voyaguers go to eat after they return to civilization. Well, we didn't get very good directions, so it took forever to find the place. It was okay, but I wasn't feeling good and while none of us were really hung over we weren't feeling up to par. But whatever, at least I can brag to my brother that I ate there.

It takes us flippen forever to get out of the damn city because for some silly reason there is no major road that goes straight through the city (In Minneapolis, for example, you can hop on 94, 694, 494, 394, 10, 35, or 169 and you know one of them will eventually get you out. This is not the case with Winnipeg). So we finally get out, and drive through the boringness to customs.

CUSTOMS CAN KISS MY ASS. Okay, so there were a few nice people, but one bitch in particular who was going through our crap, I wanted to tell her to pull the stick out of her fucking ass. Bitch.

We flicked off the Village Inn in Grand Forks as we drove by, because it made Rachelle sick. Also, we noticed that Cinderella, Ratt, Quiet Riot, and Firehouse were playing at the Alerus center. Crappy 80's hairband heaven, I tell you, but I bet that would have been a fun concert to go to.

Then we were all excited to eat at Big Cheifs; they had a billboard 40 miles ahead with this huge, tacky indian head and we were all like, "yeah, bison burgers!" But Big Cheif let us down, as 40 miles later there was no crappy little eatery in site. Then after bing denied food again at the next few places we tried (Damn you Brandon, Minnesota) we finally went to this psuedo high-class restaurant in Alexandria. We all had burrito chimichanga type thingers, and all I can say is that the Mexican Village has spoiled us, because the food at this place kinda sucked. Then we leave, and not ten minutes down the damn freeway Rachelle's car blows a tire (the exact tire that my car blew three weeks earlier exactly). Luckily there was a guy that offered to help, and he had a big jack, so we got that taken care of and were on our way. People got pissed at us because we were driving 42 mph down 94, so we took our anger out by flipping them off and screaming swear words at anyone that flashed, honked, or tailgated us. And playing Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister and Judas Priest, because fate was probably mad at us that we didn't go to the concert at the Alerus center.

And that was our weekend. Thank God for awesome friends, because without each other I think we would have went insane.

And half my mouth is numb, cause I just had a couple fillings done, and I'm really hungry but I don't want to eat when the right side of my mouth has no feeling except the sensation that it is swollen to twice its size (which it isn't, but we can thank the novicane for that).

OH MAN.
Nightwish was sooooo awesome. There's no point in me even trying to describe their performance. It was awesome. My throat hurts and my voice is almost gone from screaming and yelling so much. The opening bands were pretty good too. None of the people I went with seemed to care much for the first band (their stage presence wasn't that great), but I liked their music. I can't remember the name, though. Lullacry was good, too; I will have to look into their music.

I wanted to buy Nightwish's new CD, but there was some note about them being sold out until October. nooo! ;__; I will have to go look for internet downloads in the meantime. I also wanted to buy a t-shirt, but all they seemed to have were men's sizes...I wanted something more form-fitting, like a babydoll or a tank top. eh.

My feet hurt. Work wasn't too bad, except I was really accident prone today fry side. When I was moving one of the large carts in the walk-in cooler, the large bucket of pickles fell over and there were pickles and juice everywhere >_< When I left about an hour ago, the cooler stilled smelled a bit like pickles. Then later I was reaching on the shelf above the fry line, trying to grab a plastic baggie, and I nugded the box over, which hit a glass measuring cup, and it fell off, hit the stack of pizza plates (and cracked a couple), bounced to the floor and shattered. I was like...oh, crap.

I am totally freaking out right now. I am SO going! It's all ages, and tickets are 20 bucks in advance and 23 at the door....holy shit! WHO'S COMING WITH ME?!! It's August 26...a Thursday...YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO. I'd even be willing to pitch in for tickets (besides my own). My Dad hasn't paid me yet for the paperwork I've done for him, and I should be getting close to 80 bucks. OMG WEEEEE!!!!!!@!!!!!
