CAKRA 1 is a earth observation 8U CubeSat developed by GOMSpace for Indonesias Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP).
The Cakra-1 Nano Satellite represents the bold new vision of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia to create ocean big data through ocean digital reality in 3D pictures from coastal area to vast ocean.
The Cakra-1 Nano Satellite is one of the 20 nano satellites Non-Geostationary Orbit (NGSO) to be launched and distributed in equatorial orbit at 515 km. Payloads are a VHF Data Exchange System (VDES), Earth Observation (EO) and Signal Intelligence (SIGINT). This allows sSensor fusion to make detections through data cross-checking: Triangulation of RF signals, Optical detection of Earth images and collection of vessel tracking data.
