Cooper & Stanley (1990):
"A N-S manganese-bearing vein and an E-W lead-bearing vein crop out in this tributary of Grainsgill. The lead vein is probably the westward extension of the vein that cuts through the Carrock mine tungsten veins at the foot of Brandy Gill. [...] A small dump from a trial still exists in the gill [NY 316333] and is noted for small crystals of mottramite and beudantite, first found here about 1974 (D.R. Middleton, pers. comm.)."
