Magnesite/serpentine deposit.
Worked for serpentine by Nord Overn serpentinverk owned by Kaare Overn from 1934-1942. The serpentine was used for the production of roofing felts.
In the 1970s the quarry was leased by Mr. Walter Lie (1923-1982), who extracted serpentine for decorative stones, to be used in tables and other items.
During a period of about ten years, from 1983 onwards, the quarry was leased by Mr. John Brommeland.

ⓘ 'Apatite' Formula: Ca5(PO4)3(Cl/F/OH) Description: Raade & Mladeck (1979) mention two kinds of coexsiting apatites at Tingelstadtjern; one being dominated by Cl, and the other by (OH,F).
ⓘ Calcite Formula: CaCO3 References:
ⓘ Chlorapatite Formula: Ca5(PO4)3Cl Description: Described by Raade & Mladeck (1979) as a apatite dominated by Cl; later by Raade, Mladeck & Din as Cl- bearing apatite

ⓘ Dolomite Formula: CaMg(CO3)2 References:
ⓘ Formula: Mg2Si2O6 Description: A citation error by Neumann (1985) of information given by Raade & Mladeck (1979). They mention in their article enstatite as an accessory mineral to althausite from a second locality (=Overntjern), also not from Tinglestadtjern.
ⓘ Hematite Formula: Fe2O3 References:
