UPDATE.

Dude, I was skip=200 on my RL flist. Considering I check both my RP flists twice a day, this is not good.

SO. I got into BCA at Melbourne, which I think I'd be more excited about if EVERYONE I KNOW wasn't going to Monash *sulk*. Half the first years there must be MLC students. *clings to Bronwyn and Ashley*

Enrollment on Monday. Spent most of today reading that booklet until I figured out I'm not actually eligible for HECS-HELP. I had to go get my passport to make sure my visa wasn't humanitarian XP Dumb. Oh well, next year, when I'm actually a citizen. But dude, the fees for college are three times the fee for my course.

Speaking of, Trinity accepted me and I TURNED THEM DOWN. If I didn't know me I'd say I was on something. I applied for Ormond instead and after a lot of frantic explaining down the phone and worrying about paperwork, they interveiwed me. No idea if I got in, but the lady doing the interveiwing lived in Cambridge for years and knew all the schools and stuff I was talking about, and she said she would recommend me. At least when she asked me if I knew anyone who went to Ormond I was able to yak on about Rosie's dad :)

Tuesday, my mum comes back and I'm meeting people for bowling. Thursday, driving test. I am SO NOT READY for this. Bert expects me to get over 90%, he's so delusional. I don't want to do it, but no one listens to me. Anyway, have some photos.

( Birthday Party (Thanks to Annabelle for these)Collapse )

Good week for results, overall.

YES BABY. I kicked the Hazard Perception's ARSE. Am now officially half-way to getting my Ps!

Not that this is a particularly encouraging thought. I mean, eep. My actual driving test isn't until the 25th, thankfully, and my mum will be back by then.

Yes, my mum's in England again. My nan passed away on the 23rd after three long months in hospital, and the funeral is set for the 11th. My mum and her sister are busily selling all her things and sorting out all that stuff that needs doing when someone dies. What if there isn't anyone to do that stuff for you, I wonder? Well, anyway.

Alice is in Sorento with a friend, so for two days it's just the same as last October, when it was just me and my dad for two weeks. I should be saved this time by Caitlin, however, who is coming tomorrow... I think? I can't really remember what dates we said. I should probably ring Bronwyn and find out. Is 9.21 too early? Nah, they live on a farm, they better be up.

Am going shopping in an hour or so for marquee/balloons/decorations for THE DO, which is just turning out to be so much bigger than I anticipated, even with my mum away. (Yup, she's missing my 18th birthday. Shit happens.) To put the icing on the cake (and there will be cake, by the way) my dad's updated 'the video' which is the tape he always swore he would show everyone on my 18th birthday and he's going to set up a TV outside, somehow. So you all get to laugh at me, all 17 years. Yay. For those that don't think a party is complete without liquid drugs, there will be beers and stuff as well, though don't expect me to touch them.

Have got RSVPs now from everyone with an LJ except Annabelle (is she on the farm, too? I can't REMEMBER) and only elusive IB people are left. They have apparently faded into obscurity. Whereee areee yooooou....?

IB Results

I got a 41, which is three points higher than my best case scenario.

Still not entirely sure how that happened.

Well, I guess I can work it out. I got 6 in Theatre, History and Biol, all of which I had banked on getting 5s in. HISTORY AND BIOL. Heck, HISTORY.

There are four minutes until the ENTER scores come out, so I guess I'll hang around and ramble.

Apparently revising works. Either that or I somehow magically got 50% smarter right before the exams, or something. A B in EE - some people who got this are highly disappointed, but I say hey, it's better than a C - and a B in TOK (it's amazing what you can get by just pulling crap out of your arse, isn't it?) In short, I am pleased. I would have been happy with anything 95.00 or over, since that pretty much guarantees me of getting into Melbourne, but come on.

Right, it's officially 9am - I wonder how accurate that website is...

Nope, isn't up there yet. I have a driving lesson at 1 and the HP test at 2. .. Has anyone else done this yet? *is worried*

The Not-So-Triumphant Return

I am alive. Really.

You probably thought I wasn't around because I was studying hard. Well you'd be WRONG. Maths is in two days and I have yet to properly crack a book. Sigh.

Well, the last four days I was at Marshmead. It's far away. I had to drive 2 hours each way. I eventually told my Dad that he seriously had to stop telling me whenever there was a speed sign - I'm not BLIND, yo. But yeah, it was nice to see Alice. And to have lunch given to me and not have to do any clearing up :D

I meant to email everyone who wanted to see those grad photos.. but I haven't got around to it yet. My vast amount of doing nothing must be getting in the way.
The party was teh fun, and the highlight of my weekend considering I did NOTHING for the rest of the time. NOTHING. It was nice, but incredibly unproductive.

I was the first to leave, AGAIN, though I guess by now that's like my party trademark - I leave before everyone else. It would have been a lot easier to leave if people hadn't been physically dragging me away from the door. The costumes were very nice and I took photos but I was running out of battery so I was rushing and they aren't very good. I also didn't take any of myself and out of the... four? people that have posted some, there aren't any of me, so anyone who wasn't there has to live in the DARK about my costume! MUAHAHAHAHA.

My mum took me driving on Saturday :) It's nice to be somewhat trusted occasionallY... BUT..

ALL THREE MEMBERS OF MY FAMILY CAME INTO MY BEDROOM TO MAKE SURE I WAS GETTING UP THIS MORNING.

*scream*

Liberta

My history notes are a bit of a mess actually. Not that that came as much of a suprise.

The Biol exam KILLED MEEEE. I know everyone's sick of hearing how good I am at drawing reproductive systems and stomachs and kidneys and whatnot, but the truth is I spent AGES teaching myself to draw them, and none of it was on the exam. *growl*

The practice Play Analysis is in a stupid place. Yeah Ms D, thanks a bunch. She's really shitting me right now, and I am NOT the only one. None of us are getting sixes this time round. We'll be lucky if we scrape fives.

And I know, because I see the future.

My driving instructor (who like, used to play for Collingwood?) tried to make me overtake a tram with a bicyclist on the other side and it was the scariest thing I've ever done. The guy looked so damn vulnerable with just a flimsy little helmet on. Brr.
