Had to take my laptop to the shop :( It was shutting itself down all the time for no reason and wouldn't stay alive long enough for me to reboot to factory settings, so so much for that plan :(
That means no laptop tomorrow night at college. I will be soooo looonelyyyy. How am I to cross-stitch without background visuals? I will go cross-eyed!
Oh well. So long as I nag the tv-room long enough to watch Battle of the Choirs.
Helped my dad out in the garden today. Felt like Biggest Loser contestent, hauling bricks and shovelling sand. Now my hands hurt :( But bracing and good exercise and lalala.
Spanish is cancelled, History is HL, Theatre Arts is IP rehearsals. And a spare. So I needn't have come to school at all.
But no. Hamer Hall rehearsal all day.
I should be knighted.
Some of the year 11 Madrigals girls are DRIVING ME UP THE WALL. I am sick of getting emails that say 'oh, sorry Vic, I can't come to Mads today because I have a project that I really need to work on during lunchtime... '
I have not missed ONE rehearsal this year, not ONE. If I can do it, so can everyone else. Grr.
Spanish oral was awful. Nuff said.
RP is my life. Plot INVADES MY HEAD.
I miss my old computer, because it had all my CD-insert fanart for the Still Alive soundtrack that I spent hours slaving over in the week before it was stolen. Sigh.
Officially the worst fucking day of my whole fucking life.
And I'm going to keep swearing until it gets out of my fucking system because I'm now passed the shocked and upset stage and am now just really pissed.
In the library today, some fuckwit made off with my computer, my iPod and my purse.
So forgive me if I'm not in the best of spirits this week.
The weirdest thing is, I'm way more upset about loosing the last two chapters of Still Alive than I am about anything else, because that's going to take an AGE to rewrite. Not to mention my Sibelius software and all the scores, but luckily, most of the rest of it was backed up, except the latest few Biol pracs, my Cold War notes and some other shit I can't even remember at the moment because that's how royally brassed off I am. Oh yeah, not to mention the 12 CD inserts that took hours to make and I was so proudly showing off to everyone.
I hope the damn computer won't even work for them. They are SCREWED for wireless and I hope they get impatient and SMASH the damn thing, and then they won't even have it. As for the iPod, they're stuck with my weird music and untidy playlists now, aren't they?
In other unrelated news, I have a busy 2 weeks lined up, so I don't think I'll make it to Fridays until the 19th, or whatever day Friday is.
I want to see people. I need hugs. One of those time when you realy need to be around your friends. I don't appreciate you guys enough. I love you all. So much.
Fuck, this whole thing has made me emotional and babbly.
I've updated my memories! Do check them out, they're much better organised.
Meredith accidentally knocked my computer off the desk on Friday, and there's a massive crack in the screen. I can't tell my parents about it because they've already paid for a new one this year, so I'll just have to live with it, possibly until I can pay for it myself. I'm never, ever going to get a new phone. I can only pray that the crack doesn't get worse, as they are prone to do.
Apparently we didn't get our portfolios back last term, so yay, I think.
This week has been so long, and we didn't even do anything on Monday. FIVE MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL! And then the next week, Workshop, hoorah.
It seems I have infected people with the Broadway Bug, and a couple of people have expressed interest in borrowing some CDs, so I've made a list of all my Musicals for people to peruse. Don't hesistate to ask if you want to borrow and/or burn things.
These are all the original stage cast recordings, unless otherwise stated.
Does anyone else find the term 'lezza' just... really offensive? I don't know.
Anyway, it's Wednesday morning and I've done jack. Well actually, that's not true, I had an adrenelin e burst on Sunday and did the first section of the Theatre Arts portfolio... thingy. It's really hard!! Normally I love talking about myself.. but evaluating myself is a different story.
Mainly I've been eating whizz fizz. Really, that's all I've eaten since Friday. I bought three packets of eight on Friday and then three more yesterday. 0_0 Also, yesterday I bought season 3 Buffy and I'm rushing through it so I can watch Doppelganger, not to mention I'm taking Alice through the entire 5 seasons of Angel. So yeah, homework not a big priority.
On the upside: I have internet on my laptop again: whoot!!!!! Loading CDs onto iTunes is so much easier now *happy sigh*
Also: I've lost my audition material for Hope. I have NO IDEA how this happened: I SWEAR I put it in my LotR folder so I'd have everything to look at at once, but now it's not there. So if anyone HAS the scene for Hope, could they photocopy it for me the next time they see me? Otherwise I'll just pick it up the first monday back.
Speaking of losing things: I've done so well the entire term: I haven't lost a thing, except for that one time I lost my diary and it turned up in my singing folder. That was a bad day. But then on the last day of term, I lost my pencil case. So I had to go buy a new one (the same one) and all new stuff to go in it. Unfortunately the fountain pen my parents got me for Christmas two years ago was in there, so that's gone, but I never used it, anyway, the nib wasn't soft enough.
Kate, if she ever reads this, might be interested to know that we're doing 'The Heavens Are Telling' from The Creation (Hayden) in Madrigals. Possibly everyone thinks I'm even more of a geek than they did before, since I had two out of three of the new songs on my computer.
Hmmm... what other exciting news to report? Did everyone else know a sheep has a body temperature of 39.3ºC? Well, yeah.
Thou sittest at the right hand of God, dum de dum...
Current Music:Te Deum in B Flat (Stanford) Kimbolton Choir
I'm posting this now because I want to have a shower and forget about it afterwards.
This is certainly not the worst day of my entire life, but possibly the worst last-day-of-term ever. Although compared to poor old Shelly's, it's really not all that important.
Shells, if you leave, I will come after you with a pitchfork. Don't let evil-stealin-biatches scare you away.
Everything was fine until breaktime when I realised I'd left my pencil case in the music classroom. I went back to get it and the door was locked. I went back again and it wasn't there. I went to see Mr. Gardiner, the music office, the staff centre, middle school office, and even Miss ARNOLD and no one had seen it. So by this time it was time to go home for the holidays and I was doing anything but celebrating. I burst into tears in the MS office and the woman finally decided to actually do something about it. She rang EVERYWHERE but no one had seen it. I finally had to get her to call my mum who was waiting for me in the car. She didn't get mad at me though, probably because I was crying. Caitlin was a super-friend and stayed with me for nearly a whole half hour before she had to catch the bus home.
We never found it.
You might wonder what's so important about my pencil case, I'll tell you - it has my life in it. My stationary, my $200 calculator but most of all my glasses, without which I am as blind as a dead bat. I have another pair at home but they have practically fallen apart, and I'm not really supposed to wear them. Not to mention they're uncomfortable as hell. In Chapel I thought the picture of the baby's birth on the big screen was a pretty sunset and wondered why everyone was going 'ewww'. And in science I had to keep getting up to read the words off of the projection sheet. I'm sure Ms. Norris thought I was insane.
So no TV for two weeks. Crap.
Charli, no chance you could have picked it up by mistake? *looks hopeful*
