The Ring talks to the Fellowship during the Quest. I do not think it only tempted poor Boromir. I was reading a Quora thread that bothered me becuase it placed so much blame on Boromir and said that Tolkien didn't like him either. Ok that is a whole new post in which i take team!Boromir and can defend him, but the email is here if anyone wants to read and refute. Frodo wasn’t feeling well for a while after March 13th, the anniversary date of Shelob sting. Sam was away restoring the Shire. He felt more weary and more feverish than what happened the past October when he felt the after effects of the Nazgul wound.

Suddenly though there was a knock on his door and his cousins, Merry and Pippin appeared with healing tea, the best corn cakes, pipeweed and blankets.

“Frodo! How are you feeling?”

“Heard you were under the weather and we decided to visit you,” said Pippin.

“The shadow of the spider’s stabbing was felt yesterday but i have not since recovered so well. How did you know to come visit?”

“We haven’t seen our favorite cousin for a long while and decided to stop by,” said Merry as he gave some Frodo some chamomile tea.

“Are you hungry at all? These are fresh from the bakery,” said Pippin as he showed Frodo the corn cakes.

“No, I am all right with the food. I feel better with the tea, though.”

Merry and Pippin briefed Frodo on what has been happening in the Shire. Frodo was glad to hear that they were doing well in their part of restoring the Shire.

Merry turned the attention back to Frodo. “Do you need anything, Frodo? Just tell us and we will help you,” said Merry. “Does anything pain you?”

I always found it doubtful that Bilbo didn't contact Frodo after he left the Shire so this is my gap-filler on that and probably a slight AU that there was contact. A little ficlet for shirebound's birthday on 3/28. Love you my dear mellon! :huggles:

Hope to write more tonight! ;) I have an idea of where i want to go with this... some angst and then some comfort...you know the drill. ;)

A bit after midnight, but managed to write down what the hobbits have been telling me to do the whole day.
Today is Memorial Day and it is a day we honor the fallen who has died saving our country. Thank you to those in service or was in service to defend our wonderful country!

The hobbits also have a tradition and this little drouble seeks to honor someone special.

A/N-- It was originally 3rd person...but i changed it to first person Merry...
It was originally two teeny "ficlets"-- i made it into one. :P
It originally had a title ("Moment of Understanding")...but now it's gone. :P

I LOVE IT!. love it to bits as i am telling to ainu_laire right now. :P Gosh PJ did a great, great, great job with this movie-gapfiller of the books. So Love love love!!!
One of my fave scenes of FotR movie hands down. XD

If anyone remembered, yesterday (at least in Eastern Shire Standard Time right now :p), there is some Frodo angst that can be written about fro October 6th when Frodo was stabbed by the Witch-king up on Amon Sul. I wrote this drabble set featuring the hobbits and Strider 2? years ago when slightlytookish nudged me to...i'm not entirely satisfied but because it's Oct. 6th. ;) and speedyhobbit reminded me about it several days ago when i asked fro a plot bunny, I'm posting this. ;)

Ok..i went a bit overboard with the writing. :P I guess having 3 nieces/nephews born this year did really contribute to my "expertise" in hobbit babies. :P

I have three mathoms. As ST and grey_wonderer suggested, I wrote about the first time Frodo seeing newborn babies Merry, Pippin and Elanor.

I have a ficlet (movie-verse) a double drabble and one double drabble and a half ...
