Anduril-216

Anduri-216 is a satellite built by the U.S. company Apex on its Aries satellite platform. It is designed as a technology demonstration mission to validate advanced optical sensing capabilities for geospatial awareness and space domain awareness applications.

The satellite carries Electro-Optical (EO) and Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) sensor payloads. These instruments will test and demonstrate the ability to detect, track, and characterize objects and activities on Earth and in space, supporting future geospatial intelligence and space situational awareness missions.

Anduri-216 is based on Apex's standardized Aries satellite bus, which is designed to provide a rapid, cost-effective platform for commercial and government space missions. The mission serves to demonstrate the performance of the EO and LWIR payloads in orbit and to validate the Aries platform for advanced remote sensing applications.
