So I was supposed to go with Yuri and make kimchi today, but we had a movie night after work Friday and stayed out so late that I was no good all morning. I didn't get home from the party until 5:47 AM, and thus did not wake up till 2. So I went with Charles to Yongsan instead and got myself an eight gigabyte mp3 player. I was a little worried about compatibility issues, but it seems fine. It's a drag and drop, though it has multiple files for music and video. I was a little disappointed that it only came in black though. It also can come with an attachment for a mini SD card. You can pile music on an mini SD card and then plug it into the mp3 player for even more music. It's pretty cool.

Speaking of which, I also got an R4. pirate. I got it mostly for the Kekkaishi game, which, after playing for a bit, makes me glad I didn't buy it because it confuses me. The R4 came with a bunch of different games, but I haven't played much of them. It has Mario Tetris, which is pretty cool, as well as Pokemon. I probably won't play pokemon much since I already have a legit pearl and I can't get into ROM pokemon games. So far I've downloaded Kekkaishi, Chibi Robo Park Patrol, a FullMetal Alchemist game, and Digimon Dawn.Right now I'm trying to find the Japanese learn Korean game and attempting to download the Kimi ni Todoke DS game. I highly doubt I'll play any of the ones I have downloaded already all the way through. I'm mostly interested in seeing just what these games are all about. My last purchase was a used copy of Tales of Rebirth for the PS2. I have it on the PSP, but I'm more of a console fan and I needed to justify my PS2 purchase. Also, I can now play it with another person! The only bummer is that it's not full screen, but oh well.

I will say that the vendors were extremely irritable and unfriendly today. Usually they're all up in your face, trying to get you to buy something. But today they weren't trying! I saw the really cute mp3 player I wanted, but didn't buy because I got a much better deal on a different one elsewhere. The one guy we ended up buying mp3 players from was really helpful and nice though.

Aftwards we walked around the rest of the mall and took pictures by all the Christmas stuff. I'll post them on facebook sometime when I get the chance. It was pretty nice and we had a good time just enjoying the sights.

Anyway, church tomorrow, so time for me to go to bed. I no longer have a need to go to Yongsan, so I'm pretty happy.

So yesterday I went to the bank to change my account so I could transfer money home. I can also use my card like a debit card, though only in Korea, of course.

I like the Japanese version better. The English is kind of...corny. It focuses a lot on love, where the Japanese focuses more on protecting, which fits Graces' overall theme better. Not sure why they're focusing so heavily on love here when the game's theme is protecting. Bah. Whatever.

Got paid yesterday, so this weekend is Yongsan! Here's hoping I can myself a nice mp3 player. Most people here use their cell phones for mp3 players, actually, but I definitely prefer to use my phone as a phone instead of an all out device.

Of course, going to try to do some VG shopping as well. ^_^ Wish me luck!

So I'm looking at.........

I think I might get the second because it's so freaking cute!

What do you guys think?

I saw a stray calico today, meowing for food. I wanted to take it home with me, but it would not go. So sad...

So I've decided to give up on getting a PS3 or DSi for now and focus on building up my current systems' libraries, particularly the Wii. There are more than enough Wii games being released that will keep me happy for years, and I have plenty more games. I'm planning on picking my PS2 back up when I get home and trying to finish some of my PS2 games, mostly Odin Sphere and Radiata Stories. I just need to beat the final bosses in OS, but I still have a ways to go in RS. I also have to (re)start Xenosaga and play more of Shadow Hearts 2 (which I'm kinda meh on picking back up). I also need to finish Tales of Legendia, which I'm not enthusiastic about. I don't know why people like this game so much... I just cannot get into it.

Once I get a DSi I'll probably pick FFIV back up, but until then I'll stick to Hearts, Innocence, and eventually Gold.

As for the PSP....well, I have a mountain of game to finish. Most importantly is beating Star Ocean 1 and then Tales of Rebirth. Then is Star Ocean 2 and the rest of my Tales games. I also need to finish World. *sighs*

I decided not to go to the Seoul thing this weekend, mostly because I have no money, but also because I would rather spend my money on other things and I don't want to get lost on the subway or in Seoul. Getting lost in Incheon is one thing, but in Seoul? No thanks.

I hope I'm making the right choice. ^^;;

EDIT: Aya needs to get a new mp3 player, as hers is currently falling apart. I'm gonna go to Yongsan sometime to see what they have. Any recc?

Well, I got a response back from the foreign language department (that was quick!), who informed me that they didn't have any open spots. They had even had to turn away Lafayette students. Needless to say, I was a little depressed about that.

I figured out that my computer hates Zone Alarm. I turned it off and turned AVG back on and all the freezing-ness disappeared and it works like normal. And I can STILL get online. WTF.

My supervisor came today to supervise my class. A little annoying since I didn't have anyone come. *sighs* Hopefully next time will be different.

More Super Smash Bros. Brawl songs

title: Scrap Brain Zone
series: Sonic the Hedgehog

I've never actually heard this song before, but I could tell right away it was from Sonic.

title: Twilight Princess- Hyrule Field
series: Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

This is one song you hear often in Twilight Princess since you spend so much time running around the field (at least I do). Whenever I think of TP I always think of this song.

title: Underworld
series: Kid Icarus

This is, at least to me, the theme song of Kid Icarus. Hearing it reminds me of many stressful hours spent dying in the game. X_X

Went over to Michelle-chan's house today and watched Petite Princess Yucie with her. It was really cute. Kinda reminded me of Princess Tutu, although not as...dark later on. At least, it hasn't gotten that dark yet, anyway.

I go back to school this upcoming Monday (*gags*), so here's my schedule once again.

Monday and Wednesdays
Communications 9:30-10:50
Shakespeare 11:00-12:20
Break 12:30-1:50
Political Science 2:00-3:20
Chinese 101 3:30-4:50

I'm most nervous about Political Science, followed by Chinese. I keep looking at the textbook and thinking, 'what have you got yourself into, Aya?'.

I'm also planning on attending Japanese class on Thurdays. That starts at 5:30 and goes till....I'm not really sure, actually. X_X

It's seriously going to be depressing having all this free time....
What am I going to do with myself? X_x

Just had to share this song from Home Made Kazoku. It's from their latest CD, which was released April 14, 2007. If you know the song "We are Family" (We are family, I got all my sisters and me...blahblah) you'll find this song amusing. It's basically a Japanese remix, but, of course, HM added their own twist. If you haven't heard the original, it's a good song anyway.
If you want more songs from the CD, lemme know and I'll upload them.

And now back to my paper... *eyes DS hungrily*
