This week has been so hectic with me being sick for 3/4 of it...but it's finally over (I think). Today was the first day I actually felt OK. I felt a little out of it at work, but since then I've felt okay. I had to go to this restaurant called "Flavor's" today for a school project. The style is New Orlean's and Gumbo....meaning it's spicy food. Yuck. I got the least spiciest thing on the money and I still kept reaching for my glass of water after every couple bites. Meh. I got lost getting there too, which definitely did not help me out... --
Vyse and Aika like to sail, like a lot.
I was playing Skies of Arcadia today and I feel kinda bad because I feel like I don't like the game as much as I should. I think the biggest problem is that it's a turn-based and, after getting spoiled by Tales' action fighting, turn-based seems kinda boring now. It doesn't help that I got the game around the same time I got Symphonia.
Oddly enough, I wasn't that into Symphonia at first either. What really got me into Symphonia was learning about who the characters were and, of course, the whole "who's yo' daddy" thing. It was totally obvious the whole time to me, but I wanted to see where Namco would run with it.
Baten Kaitos teased me (and still does) because I wanted to find out who Kalas was and I wanted to see him get tortured. O.o Origins was engrossing because I wanted to find out just who was really on Sagi's side and what was up with Guillo.
But Skies....Skies does nothing for me. As far as I can tell, there aren't many juicy spoilers waiting to be unlocked or anything. The characters themselves are kinda blandish to me, and battles are more aggravating than fun.
But yet everyone praises this game. And it's not just because it's one of the few GCN RPGs. Before that it was a Dreamcast game and got just as much praise- if not more. But what is so good about it? Why should I keep playing it? *sighs* I don't know... I want to finish it eventually, just to say that I beat it, but it's hard being so unmotivated. X___X --
I'm gonna be home this weekend and next. Yay! No having to wake up at 4 AM. ^_^ My goal this weekend is to watch S.A and all the other shows in subs. I also really gotta start working on Turkish.... Bah. I'll let you guys know how that goes. (thankfully, it seems to be sorta similar to Japanese...)
