So Jessie-chan came over today after church and we wound up watching some of the new series. Of the four shows I'm watching, I showed her 3.

In order of how we watched them:

Itazura na Kiss: InK comes out earlier than the other two, so we wound up being able to watch two eps of this. Jessie-chan didn't comment much on the art, but I think she likes and can sympathize with the main character, Kotoko. (I know I definitely can)

I KNEW Kin-chan (or whatever his name is) spoke kansai! I KNEW IT!!! X_x
no wonder I had so much trouble understanding him in the RAW

Special A: This was one of her favorites. I downloaded this show knowing next to nothing about it besides a plot summary, and I didn't watch it prior to having her over, so this was new for me too. Both Jessie-chan and I really liked the SA uniforms.

The ep seemed like it went really fast... a lot faster than I expected it to. I have no prior knowledge from the manga (though I might start reading it since the anime's out) so I couldn't tell how much it differed, but yeah....

Vampire Knight: Of course Vampire Knight made the running. When it comes to VK you won't find a bigger fan. ^^
The most disappointing thing, in her eyes and mine, was the art. It's not BAD, but the manga is definitely prettier.
I want to see episode 2...

So it looks like this will be our Sunday afternoon lineup for this season... ^^

There are still a few series I'd like to try out in general, but as of right now I think I'm just going to stick with my four shows and wait until summer to watch any more.
