My computer scared the living daylights out of me. I was playing Arc Rise Fantasia and got into a boss fight, so I was ignoring my computer. Once the fight ended, I decided to go to bed. I went to my laptop and tried to wake it up out of its slumber so I could turn it off. It didn't work. Not at all. I pressed ctrl alt del, home, even tried the power button a dozen times. To no avail. I wound up having to unplug the computer from its power cord and just let the battery kill itself. It scared me to death because I was afraid there was something wrong with my laptop. It's still under warranty, but I'd have to mail it back to the US if I needed it to get fixed, which would cost me an arm and a leg. Thankfully it seems to be okay now, and I changed the sleep settings so this won't happen again.
I got a bit further in Arc Rise Fantasia. I had my fight on the beach, which I was trying hard to win against when I realized that it's just not possible for my trio to beat another trio, especially since a certain person kept summoning rogress. So I gave up, lost the fight, and went on. I never understood why the rogress went to their side and why L'arc didn't try and steal it away at the last moment. I guess L'arc still isn't serious enough yet. Anyway, went to Jada, fought Weiss, and got the light ship. Bugger it be, my light ship was killed the first five minutes after I received it. What a pain. So now we're going to get it repaired. I'm a bit annoyed because this means we'll be behind the other group even more... and they have three rogress to our two, though granted missing the last rogress was our fault, but I was not about to waste time leveling up when I was more interested in the story anyhow.
Last night there was a major typhoon in Korea. I was up half the night, trying to fall asleep. My windows and door were rattling like mad. Other than that, I was ok. The lights didn't go out or anything, but the hospital next door to me lost some of its outward wall tiles. I haven't seen the rest of the damage caused by the typhoon yet since I haven't left work, but I hope everything is okay...
Thinking about getting new eye glasses. It's been forever since I had an eye exam and you can get glasses for pretty cheap here. Not to mention, my glasses are really old and no longer fit my prescription. Hopefully my eyes haven't changed too much from when I last had an eye exam...
Thinking about doing some sightseeing this weekend, weather-permitted. Gonna head down to Seoul and see some sights. I still have two palaces to see before I see them all, and there are a lot of other things I want to do as well. Hopefully the weather will actually cooperate for once. I guess we're not out of the rainy season quite yet... X_X
